Pearland Parkway’s New Brunch Spot?
You’ve been to Another Broken Egg Cafe, Pena’s Donuts and Dinner, and Buzzy Bee Cafe (man they need a new website) and they’re all great weekend stops. First Watch, a Florida based daytime cafe chain has set its sights on Pearland Parkways blossoming retail space located in front of the new Academy. Yeah it’s fresh is the company’s mission and motto. First watch employs a farm to fork methodology and a rustic decor to match. First Watch’s rapid expansion plan of its daytime cafe chain will continue in several states throughout the Southeast and Midwest. The Bradenton-based company announced that it has signed franchise agreements to develop 36 restaurants within the next five years in Miami as well as in Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina. “We spend a great amount of time getting to know our potential franchise partners and their values, goals, experiences and overall work ethic, and they do the same for us,” Chris Tomasso, the president of First Watch, said in a news release. “Both our existing and our new franchise partners have all shown an ability to develop and successfully operate restaurants in multiple markets, and we’re confident that each of these […]

It’s Crawfish Season In Pearland
We may no longer have the Pearland Crawfish Festival but there are plenty of restaurants stepping up to the plate this year to satisfy our mudbug cravings. Expect market prices to be a little higher this year than last. Antie’s Meat Market – Pots dropping Saturday’s noon to ?. Atchafalaya Crawfish – One of Houston’s Top 10 Crawfish Joints. To-Go only but some of the best prices in town and is a local distributer to many restaurants. BB’s Cafe – Great ambiance feels like your sitting in the French Quarter Bayou Grill – Where else can you get a crawfish omelet? Floyd’s – With crawfish mentioned 208 times on their online menu you know it’s time to saddle up and start peeling LA Crawfish – New to the Pearland scene this vietnamese fusion can’t be beat. Crawfish Pho anyone? Stadia Grill (Pearland Parkway) – Party on the Patio every Thursday night from 9pm til midnight.

King’s BierHaus Expands Beyond Pearland
Hans (Johann Sitter owner of King’s Biergarten) is moving on up, to Houston’s Heights area. Located at 2044 E. T.C. Jester. The new BierHaus will feature a 9,000 square foot outdoor outdoor beer garden with lounging hammocks, bar games, and a small river. The indoor space will feature communal seating, cozy tables, and TV’s for watching local sports favorites. The BierHaus will open at the end of April. A lucky few will be able to check out their first glimpses of the new facility starting April 20th during it’s grand opening celebration. Tickets to opening day are free, but you’ll have to grab them on EventBrite before they are gone. The BierHaus was mentioned as one of the 15 most anticipated restaurant openings in the nation by zagat’s. As for food expect the usual sausages with a side of everything from sauerkraut to fried eggs. The bar menu will serve an extended selection of craft bears and cocktails as well as a large list of whiskey. Hans also suggested the BierHaus will offer what he calls the “largest authentic schnapps collection in Texas”.
